I'm not completely sure this is lady's thumb, but the dark marking on the leaves fits.

Notes: 

Similar to Lady's Thumb (also Polygonum family), except lacking triangular dark patch on leaves. Sheaths are slightly fringed. This plant also seems too tall for Lady's Thumb.
